Do you really think they are even willing to do something? I don't, they have your money and by your comment you are going to fall for their next ripoff! They owe it their customers for three years to fix the major bugs their Aurora HDR 2018 (now renamed to Luminar HDR but that and compatibility with Catalina were the only changes in those 3 years) but nothing happens. They owe it their customers to bugfix Luminar 4 and Luminar AI but that will not happen. Luminar AI wasn't any better, it still runs like a dog and is buggy as hell. Luminar 4 was garbage and didn't fulfil the promises made by their CEO (later retracted), it ran like a dog and tossed it's library just when you looked at it from the wrong direction. They have lied about continued support for years now and you still think that they are able to create a good product. You seem to be too trusty! They have shafted their customers at least 5 times (not counting the screwups of the workflow in the middle of a product release). I find it hard to believe that NEO is the piece of junk everyone seems to think it's going to be, months before its release.įool me once. For that reason, try not to be so harsh with a company that doesn't have the deep financial pockets of a company like Adobe. (I can't get around that reality.) Still, we need at least one company to innovate, with the others cleaning up the mess. It is indeed unfortunate that Skylum (once a company that catered only to Mac users) does not have a top-rate quality-control team. (And you're right that feature certainly has its flaws on Luminar AI, but the radical design process forced other companies to play catch-up.) There are new innovative AI features coming to NEO, and those too will be copied by other companies. For better or worse, the sky replacement craze was started by Luminar, with Adobe and On1 desperately trying to imitate the company's success. When it comes to innovation, Skylum is the only company today that is truly creative. But once people jump on a bandwagon of hate (in this case against Skylum), they are loathe to get off, since it would be embarrassing to admit that they might actually be wrong. I find it hard to believe that NEO is the piece of junk everyone seems to think it's going to be, months before its release. These two programs combined, along with a number of new innovative features, makes the upgrade price of $36.04 (tax included) really tough to beat, especially when you consider that you're given a full 30-day trial period to try NEO after it is downloaded into your computer. I really enjoy the Templates in Luminar AI, and the Layer features of Luminar 4. You can do it one time if Luminar AI is not open, but that's it. And they still can't be bothered to institute drag and drop to open files which is available in almost every other software editing problem.
